Does anyone ever walk up to you and say something like, “OMG, did you know that you are tall?” What a question! What do you say in reply? Here are a couple of ideas…
Sometimes I use this one. “Shhhhhhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone, it’ll be our secret!!”
This one came from a comment on this site, and I love it!:
I try to be friendly and make a joke out of it. — A friend who is even taller taught me this and she never is sharp with people. My favorite is when someone makes a remark and she gives them a puzzled look, then looks down to her feet and back at them and says, “Oh, I’m not tall – it’s the shoes”. It works best when she is in flip flops.:-) — Jheri

Usually I just say. “Really I never knew that, but thanks for telling me”
I should add that my buddy, who is two meters tall, gets a surprised and delighted look on her face that she has just figured something out as she looks at them to tell them its just the shoes.
She rules.
Now if only clothes fit her.
Ha Ha! You are so funny! I hope more funny people get on here and start telling us this stuff. We should put all this together and write a book.
