Look what Carmex sent me to use way out here in the dry West Texas Desert! I love Carmex, and nothing more perfect to keep lips moisturized. Hopefully without admitting my entire age, I’ll tell you that I used to carry the little pots around in my purse or pocket when I was in Jr. High and then high school, only because they hadn’t invented the little tubes yet. (At least they hadn’t yet showed up in my small Texas town).

Remember These?
Now, I get to tell you all about ALL their products, and the are giving me another one of these cosmetic bags full of Carmex products just like this one above that I am going to give to one of you! Keep reading to find out more. Oh, and you have GREAT chances to win, because there is one whole entire makeup bag full of Carmex products just for one of the readers of this blog that comments and no one else will be entered. Retail value $52.32!
Honestly, I received this kit a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to actually try all the products out before I told you what I think, especially the healing cream. Since I have really dry heels, I was excited the most about trying this. I tried it and it WORKS! Way better than my old lotion. Not too much of a smell, which is fine by me. For a limited time, all of you can still get this COUPON for $2 off either the healing cream or the healing lotion.

The Carmex healing lotion is basically lotion, and is fine, but nothing extra special. It soaks in fine and moisturizes as well as any lotion, and doesn’t leave a greasy feel.
In this dry West Texas weather, the Carmex lip moisturizer is the only thing I buy to moisturize my lips. I’m telling you, I live in the DESERT! I’ve tried others, but I always go back to Carmex. The new flavors were kind of fun to try. Cherry and Strawberry were both great, but the Cherry won out as my favorite.

Now, Carmex has come out with tinted moisturizing lip balm, in peach and pink, and that was included in this kit too. Nothing against the pink, I’m just not a “pink”, but the peach is best for me. Both are great for a little moisturizing, with a little lip gloss coloring, too. And the cute, cute bag is now going to be my new makeup bag!

A little history on Carmex… Did you know:
Carmex® lip balm was invented in 1937 by Alfred Woelbing, literally on the family stovetop. For the next 20 years, Alfred and his wife made Carmex by hand and poured it into the familiar yellow-capped jars.
Eventually production moved out of the Woelbing home and into a rented facility in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where it remained until the move in 1975 to its current site in Franklin, Wisconsin.
Carma Labs employs about 100 people and is still owned and operated by the family: Alfred’s grandsons Erik and Paul Woelbing. The Woelbing stove is now used for cooking things the family can actually eat.
